Lifetimely: Connect TikTok Ads

At a glance: Connect TikTok Ads to Lifetimely to pull ad spend — including GMV Max costs — into your P&L, CAC, and daily reports automatically.

What syncs from TikTok Ads

Once connected, Lifetimely imports the following from your TikTok Ads account:

  • Standard ad spend — campaign-level spend from your TikTok Ads Manager
  • GMV Max costs — TikTok's performance-based ad type where you pay based on gross merchandise value generated. GMV Max spend is included in your P&L, Income Statement, and daily Slack/email reports.

⚠️ Note: GMV Max spend currently appears in the Income Statement and Daily Report. Full attribution platform breakdown for GMV Max is on the roadmap — check back for updates.

How to connect TikTok Ads

  1. In Lifetimely, go to App Integrations in the left navigation.
  2. Find TikTok Ads and click Connect.
  3. You'll be redirected to TikTok to authorise the connection. Log in with the account that has access to your TikTok Ads Manager.
  4. Select the ad accounts you want to sync and approve the permissions.
  5. Once authorised, you'll be returned to Lifetimely. TikTok Ads spend will begin syncing — allow up to 12 hours for the first sync to complete.

How often does TikTok data sync?

TikTok Ads data syncs every 12 hours. This means today's spend may not appear immediately — if you're checking P&L data for the current day and spend looks low, wait for the next sync cycle.

Understanding GMV Max in your reports

TikTok GMV Max is an automated campaign type where TikTok optimises spend to maximise your store's GMV. Because TikTok handles the bidding automatically, the costs can look different from standard campaign spend.

In Lifetimely, GMV Max costs are:

  • Included in Total Marketing Costs on the Income Statement
  • Included in Blended CAC and Blended ROAS calculations
  • Included in the Daily Report email and Slack report

💡 Tip: If your P&L shows higher marketing costs than expected and you're running GMV Max, check the TikTok row in your Income Statement to confirm GMV Max spend is syncing correctly.

Troubleshooting

TikTok spend not showing up?
Check that your TikTok Ads account is still connected under App Integrations. If you see a yellow warning banner, click Reauthorise to refresh the connection.

Spend looks lower than expected?
TikTok syncs every 12 hours — today's spend may not yet be included. For yesterday's data and older, if numbers still look off, reach out to support.

GMV Max costs missing from P&L?
If you've recently started running GMV Max campaigns and costs aren't appearing, confirm your TikTok connection is active and allow up to 24 hours for the first GMV Max data to sync.
