How Lifetimely Handles Marketing Costs and Currency Conversion
At a glance: Lifetimely automatically converts all order and marketing spend values into your Shopify store's default currency, so your reports stay consistent and comparable - no matter where your customers or ad accounts are located.
How currency conversion works
Lifetimely simplifies multi-currency reporting by automatically converting all values into your Shopify store’s default currency:
- Orders: Converted on a per-order basis using the daily foreign exchange rate from the order’s processing date.
- Ad spend: Converted automatically from each ad account’s currency.
This ensures your reports are accurate and aligned across all reports, dashboards, and profitability tools.
Order currency conversions
- Each order is converted to your Shopify store’s default currency on a per-order basis.
- Lifetimely applies the daily exchange rate from the order processing date, keeping conversions historically accurate.
- Converted values are used across reports including: Income Statement, Lifetime Value (LTV), and Cohort Analysis.
Marketing cost currency conversion
- If your ad accounts are billed in a currency different from your store’s, Lifetimely automatically converts the spend into your store’s default currency.
- Conversion works as long as the currency is supported.
- This keeps your marketing cost data consistent and usable in dashboards, custom metrics, and profitability reports, even if you’re running campaigns in multiple countries.
