What are the Thank you and Order status pages?


These are two post-purchase pages that show customers information about their orders:


  • The Thank you page is shown after checkout, so it’s often used for conversion tracking. Customers only see the page once.
  • The Order status page is linked from order notifications. Customers can visit the page over time to track and manage their order.

Shopify has announced the deadline for non-Plus merchants to upgrade by August 26, 2026.


By this date, customizations on your existing Thank you and Order status pages must be migrated and you must upgrade to the new pages from your upgrade guide. If you take no action, your pages will be upgraded but you will lose any customizations that have not been migrated.


Previously, these pages could be customized using Additional scripts and apps that use ScriptTags, which are no longer supported. The new pages support code-free, upgrade-safe customizations with app blocks while the Thank you page supports secure tracking using app and custom pixels.
