Lifetimely: How to Connect Skio

At a glance

If you use Skio to manage subscriptions, connect it to Lifetimely to track subscriber LTV, churn, MRR, cancellation reasons, and recurring revenue alongside your profit data.

What this enables

  • Subscription analytics — churn, MRR, recurring revenue, and cancellation reasons — for your Skio subscribers, in your Subscriptions report, your P&L, and dashboards.
  • Ask the Profit Agent questions that put subscriptions next to profit, like "Do my Skio subscribers have a higher lifetime value than one-time buyers?" or "Which subscription products churn fastest on the second order?"

What you'll need

  • A Skio account with admin access.
  • Your Skio API key (steps below).
  • Admin access to your Lifetimely account.

Note: Skio is available on paid Lifetimely plans.

Setup

Step 1 — Get your Skio API key

  1. In your Skio dashboard, go to API & Integrations → API Keys.
  2. Generate your API key. Copy it straight away — Skio only shows the key once when it's created. If you miss it, generate a new one.

Step 2 — Open the Skio page in Lifetimely

  1. Go to Integrations and select Skio (or go directly to https://lifetimely.useamp.com/integrations/skio ).

Step 3 — Paste your key and connect

  1. Paste your Skio API key into the field.
  2. Click Test, then Save. Lifetimely tests the connection with Skio before saving, so an invalid or incomplete key is flagged straight away.

Once saved, your Skio data begins syncing automatically. The first import can take from a few minutes up to a few hours.

Troubleshooting

"Invalid response from authorization hook" (or the connection won't save): Skio returns this message for any invalid key. It almost always means the key is incomplete, has an extra space, or isn't the actual API key. Because Skio only shows the key once, the quickest fix is to generate a fresh key in Skio (API & Integrations → API Keys), copy it carefully, and paste it again.

Where you'll see the data

Once synced, your Skio subscription data appears in the Subscriptions report (recurring-revenue and subscriber KPIs, plus retention by subscription-start cohort) and is available to the Profit Agent. You can also isolate Skio specifically using the Subscription Platform filter in the report.

Notes

  • Lifetimely only reads data from Skio — it never writes to or changes anything in your Skio account.
  • Disconnecting Skio (the Disconnect button on the integration page) stops the sync and removes your synced Skio data from Lifetimely.
