Lifetimely: Connect Lifetimely to Claude

At a glance: Connect Lifetimely to Claude using the Lifetimely MCP server URL. Once connected, you can ask Claude questions about your store's profit, LTV, cohorts, and marketing performance directly in conversation.

What this enables

Connecting Lifetimely to Claude gives Claude live access to your store's analytics. You can ask questions like "What's my CAC payback period?" or "Which products are driving the highest LTV?" and Claude will query Lifetimely directly to answer — no copy-pasting data required.

What you'll need

  • A Claude account on the Free, Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan
  • The Lifetimely MCP server URL – find this in your Lifetimely account under Settings → Integrations → AI Connections. If you manage multiple Shopify stores from one Lifetimely account, you'll see a separate connector URL per store.
  • For Team and Enterprise plans: an Owner or Primary Owner must add the connector to the organisation before members can connect

Setup: Team and Enterprise plans

Step 1 — Owner adds the connector to the organisation

  1. Navigate to Organization settings → Connectors.
  2. Click Add custom connector at the bottom of the section.
  3. Enter the Lifetimely MCP server URL.
  4. Optionally click Advanced settings to add an OAuth Client ID and OAuth Client Secret if required by your server configuration.
  5. Click Add to save.

Step 2 — Members connect individually

  1. Navigate to Settings → Connectors.
  2. Find Lifetimely in the list (it will show a Custom label).
  3. Click Connect and follow the authentication prompts.

Setup: Pro, Max, and Free plans

  1. Navigate to Settings → Connectors (or Customize → Connectors).
  2. Click the + button next to Connectors.
  3. Enter the connector name (e.g. Lifetimely) and paste the Lifetimely MCP server URL.
  4. Optionally add OAuth credentials via Advanced settings.
  5. Click Add, then follow the authentication flow.

Connecting multiple stores

If your Lifetimely account has more than one Shopify store, each store has its own connector URL (e.g. ending in /api/mcp/your-store.myshopify.com). To connect more than one store to Claude:

  1. In Lifetimely, go to SettingsIntegrationsAI Connections — you'll see a list with a Copy button next to each store's URL.
  2. In Claude, add each store as a separate custom connector following the steps above. Use the store name (e.g. "Lifetimely — Store A") so you can tell them apart in conversations.

Each connector authenticates independently. Tokens are scoped per store — a connector for Store A cannot query Store B.

You can enable one or several store connectors per Claude conversation depending on what you want to ask.

⚠️ Note: Free accounts are limited to one custom connector. If you have already connected another custom tool, you will need to remove it before adding Lifetimely.

Using Lifetimely in a Claude conversation

Once connected, enable Lifetimely for a conversation using the + button at the lower left of the chat interface, then select Connectors and toggle Lifetimely on. You can enable or disable the connector per conversation.

Example questions to try:

  • "What's my net profit for the last 30 days?"
  • "Which customer cohort from last quarter has the highest LTV?"
  • "What's my CAC payback period for Facebook Ads customers?"
  • "Which products are driving the highest repeat purchase rate?"

Troubleshooting

Connection fails or shows an error: Confirm the MCP server URL is correct and that your Lifetimely account has AI Connections enabled. The server must be publicly reachable — connections are made from Anthropic's cloud infrastructure, not your local device.

Team/Enterprise: connector not visible to members: An Owner must first add the connector at the organisation level before individual members can see and connect it.

Claude says "connector already exists" when adding a second store: Make sure you're using the per-store URL from Lifetimely (it ends in /your-store.myshopify.com) — not the generic /api/mcp URL. Claude treats two connectors with the same URL as duplicates.

Wrong store data showing in Claude: Each store's connector is bound to that store via the URL. If results look wrong, check which connector is enabled for the conversation (+ button → Connectors) and confirm the URL in Claude's connector settings matches the store you intended.

Data freshness

When you initialise a Lifetimely MCP session, a snapshot of your store data is loaded for that session. This snapshot is valid for up to 4 hours from initialisation. After that window the data clears, and the session needs to be re-initialised to load a fresh snapshot.

This is not a rolling sync cycle — data does not update automatically in the background during a session. If you placed an order or made a change in Lifetimely and it is not showing in your AI conversation, it is likely either within an active session that predates that change, or the session has expired and needs re-initialising.
