Why isn’t my bundle discount applying at checkout?

If your bundle discount isn’t showing at checkout, it’s usually due to either the way discounts are configured in Bundles by AMP or a conflict with other discount rules in Shopify.


Default Bundles behavior

Bundle discounts are currently set to Apply only if the customer clicks Add to cart from the bundle widget. This means discounts will only apply when a customer adds items using the bundle widget.


Check your Bundles settings

  • In the same section, you’ll also see the “Allow combining bundle discounts with” options.

    Make sure you’ve selected whether bundle discounts should be allowed to combine with:

    • Product discounts
    • Order discounts
    • Shipping discounts
  • If these aren’t enabled, the bundle discount won’t apply when another discount is active.


Check your Shopify discounts

If a discount still isn’t applying, it may be due to overlapping discount rules in Shopify. For example:

    • A native Shopify discount like “Free gift with orders over $X” may override the bundle discount.
    • Automatic Shopify discounts or sitewide promotions may prevent bundles from applying.

How to troubleshoot

  • Go to Settings > Discount configurations in Bundles and review your discount combination options.
  • In Shopify Admin > Discounts, check which discounts are currently active and whether any are conflicting.
  • Test your checkout flow in an unpublished theme or using a draft order to confirm the correct discount applies.

💡 Tip: If you want bundle discounts to always take priority, avoid setting up overlapping automatic Shopify discounts.
