Bundles: How discounts are displayed in your bundle widget

When you create a bundle in Bundles by AMP, you can customize how savings are displayed to your customers. This is managed in the Design tab of your bundle campaign setup.

Discount display options

In the Design tab, you’ll see several text fields where you can use insert variables to control what’s shown in your widget:

  • savedPercentage → Shows the discount percentage (e.g. Save 20%).
  • totalSavedAmount → Shows the total dollar value saved across the bundle (e.g. You save $8.50).
  • totalAmount → Shows the total bundle price after discount (e.g. $21.00).

You can use these variables in the headline, badge, or savings description to style the widget text to your preference.

Why discounts may show as decimals

When using “amount off” offers (e.g. Save $5), Bundles distributes the discount across each line item in the bundle. Depending on the prices of the products included, this can sometimes result in decimal amounts (e.g. $2.49 off one item, $2.51 off another).

This ensures the total savings are accurate, but it may look less clean in the line-item view.

Cleaner display option

If you’d prefer to avoid decimals, you can set your widget design to display savings only on the total rather than distributing it across line items.

For example:

  • Line item distribution → shows partial discounts on each product.
  • Total-only display → shows the full discount at the bottom (e.g. You save $5.00).

👉 This approach is cleanest for “amount off” offers, while percentage off offers usually look fine when distributed across line items.

We’d love your feedback

We’re collecting feedback on how merchants prefer to display discounts:

  • Do you want the flexibility to show discounts only on totals?
  • Do you prefer the default distribution across line items?
